📅 Choosing the date
The best time for a maternity photoshoot is around 28–32 weeks. At this stage, your bump is beautifully rounded, and most expecting mothers still feel quite comfortable.
That said, every pregnancy is unique. Some prefer to shoot a bit earlier, others later. That’s why we always choose the date individually, based first and foremost on how you feel and what you’d like.
To give you the best choice of dates and enough time to prepare calmly, I recommend booking your maternity session 1–2 months in advance. This lets you pick the day that suits you best and schedule the shoot during the stage of pregnancy that feels most comfortable for you. Most dates get booked early, so booking ahead gives you more options when choosing your session time.
A date is considered fully booked once a deposit of €50 has been paid. Once the booking is confirmed, we start preparing for the session: choosing outfits, discussing the color palette, backgrounds, and every detail of the upcoming shoot.
👗 Choosing your outfits
After booking, we discuss the clothing and style of the session well in advance.
Mini package
This package includes 1 outfit. It can be:
- a dress from my catalog;
- your own outfit.
Even with a single outfit, the session turns out wonderfully varied. We use different poses, photograph you alone and together with your partner, standing and sitting, with different lighting and framing. The result is a truly diverse series of images.
Standard package
This package includes 3 outfits. You can combine:
- dresses from my catalog;
- fabric;
- your own clothing.
A particularly beautiful combination is:
- jeans,
- a white shirt,
- a short top,
- an oversized T-shirt,
which beautifully highlight your bump.
🧼 Cleanliness and safety
All dresses, fabrics, and props are washed and steam-treated after every session. So you can feel completely at ease about the cleanliness of the clothing and accessories.
🎨 Choosing the background and style
Before the session, we discuss the styling in advance.
The studio offers the following backgrounds:
- white;
- beige;
- black;
- pink;
- light blue.
Part of the session can also take place:
- by the bed with natural light;
- near the curtains;
- with fresh flowers, if you’d like.
If you’d like to use the bed, natural light, or flowers, please let me know in advance.
I only order fresh flowers on days when several maternity sessions are scheduled.
👨👩👧 Who can join the session
A maternity photoshoot isn’t only about photos of the mother-to-be.
If you’d like, we’re always happy to capture:
- photos with your partner;
- photos with older siblings.
These photos become especially precious years later.
🤗 Don’t worry if you’ve never been photographed before
Many of my clients tell me: “We don’t know how to pose.”
That’s completely normal. During the session, I fully guide you through the posing:
- showing examples;
- suggesting where to place your hands;
- explaining every movement.
No experience in front of the camera is required.
If you’d like, we can also play calm music to create the most relaxed atmosphere possible.
🖼️ After the session
Within 3 business days (not counting the day of the shoot or weekends), you’ll receive all the best shots for you to choose from.
You select the images you’d like retouched.
Once you’ve made your selection, the final photos are delivered digitally within 3–4 weeks.
💫 The next chapter of your family’s story
Very often, a maternity photoshoot is how we first get to know each other.
After that, families come back to me for:
- their newborn session;
- their baby’s first birthday;
- family photoshoots.
It brings me so much joy to watch children grow and to capture your family’s story, year after year.
🎁 Bonus
After your maternity photoshoot, you’ll receive a €50 discount on your newborn session.
